From Christmas carols to Bharatnatyam performances to a dance for Hannukah…. Even a skit about an Italian dreaming of pizza while meditating! On Christmas Eve, Amritapuri‘s annual multicultural performances captivated the audience, which included people from countries around the world who joined via webcast.
The show celebrated the beauty of how our many different traditions can be joyfully sewn together through their unity in diversity. Amma led her children in bhajans to call for an end to the darkness humankind now faces, as well as to inspire joyful expressions of the pure love that beats in all our hearts. Prayers for universal peace reverberated worldwide.
And finally, to no one’s surprise, Santa Claus found time in his yearly global journey to make a stop at Amritapuri and help Amma distribute chocolate cake prasad.
