During Amma’s 56th birthday celebrations, Professor K.V. Dev awarded the Amrita Keerti Puraskar {news} for his meritorious contributions and perpetuation to Vedic knowledge.
Shri. R. Vasudevan Poti handed over the Amritakeerti purskar to Prof. KV Dev. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs. 123,456, an idol of Saraswati Devi crafted by the artist Nambootiri and a Certificate of Commendation from the Mata Amritanandamayi Math (MAM).
KV Dev was born in Kollam in 1932. He has published 18 books, including Bharata Darshanam, Lalita Sahasranama Punahsamskaranam, Amritabhasha Samskrta Svayam Sikshanam, Gurusannidhiyil, Anukampa Darshanam and Itihasamadhuri. He has written to renowned works of literature: Agnisuddhi Sankuntalattil and Asta-Bandham, the latter of which has been included in the syllabus of Kerala university.
