March 2026, Amritapuri – Ayodhya visit
Amma will visit Ayodhya on the 19th of this month at the invitation of the Shri Ram Janma-bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust. General Secretary Champat Rai specially sent an invitation letter and two representatives to request Amma’s presence to grace the occasion of the Shri Ramayantra pratishta.
The Shri Ramayantra will be installed on the second floor of the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya on March 19, the first day of Chaitra Navratri, known as the Hindu New Year. Amma will share the stage with the President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu. The related pujas will also take place at the temple.
Around 1,200 people—including senior monks, brahmacharis, and ashram residents—will accompany Amma on a specially arranged train from Amritapuri (Kayamkulam Junction) to Ayodhya and back.
Amma has traveled by train since the 1980s with small groups of devotees and ashram residents to destinations such as Kozhikode, Mumbai, Bhuj, and Kolkata. However, this is the first time Amma will take such a large group of people on a spiritual journey via a special chartered train.
Amma will depart Amritapuri for Ayodhya on March 15 and return on March 22. Darshan at Amritapuri will resume on March 25.
