Swami Chinmayananda awakened the values of Sanatana Dharma

As part of its upcoming 75th anniversary celebrations of Chinmaya Mission is planning an Gita Chanting in 2026 with participation over two lakh people to chant the Bhagavad Gita.
Swami Viviktananda Saraswati, Head of Chinmaya Mission Kerala, visited Amritapuri Ashram along with a group of devotees to seek Amma’s blessings.

A special poster for the Gita Chanting Competition was released in Amma’s presence, symbolizing the beginning of this global spiritual effort.

Speaking on the occasion, Amma praised the legacy of Swami Chinmayananda, the revered founder of Chinmaya Mission. “After Swami Vivekananda, it was Swami Chinmayananda who spread the essence of Sanatana Dharma both in India and abroad. He was the one who awakened the values of Sanatana Dharma in the hearts of countless people—especially the youth,” Amma said.

“He not only inspired people to study the Gita, but also helped raise awareness and commitment to its values in daily life. May we all strive to fulfill Swamiji’s vision. Amma prays to the Paramatman that we gain the strength, motivation, and surrender needed to work for this noble cause.”
