31 May–1 June, Kozhikode Brahmasthanam – Bharata Yatra 2026
On the evening of May 30, Amma arrived at Kozhikode Brahmasthanam for her two-day programs. As her vehicle entered the Ashram grounds, hundreds of devotees lined the pathways with folded hands, flowers, and radiant smiles. They chanted mantras with tears of joy and smiles lighting their faces.
Speaking about the deeper purpose of human life, Amma reminded devotees that love is humanity’s true nature and the force that unites all beings.
“This human life is meant to be born in love, to live in love, and to eventually end in love,” she said. “Compassion is a necessity, not a luxury.”
“Humility is our true state of being; the ego is artificial. This is why we naturally feel drawn to humble people and avoid those with an air of superiority.” Amma explained.
“Usually, we make our ego the center of our existence. All our effort is poured into strengthening it. But when we make God the center of our life, we become God’s shadow.”
The programs flowed into meditation, satsang, and bhajans, creating an atmosphere of peace and devotion throughout the Ashram.
Ahead of World Environment Day, AYUDH launched a statewide tree-planting initiative inspired by Amma’s message: “This earth is our Mother. Nature is our Mother.” Amma personally gave away saplings to participants. Hundreds of sarees were also distributed to AmritaSree slef help group members during the festival.
Children from Amrita Vidyalayam presented cultural programs and inspiring bhajan sessions during Amma’s darshan, adding joy and devotion to the celebrations.
The two-day Brahmasthanam Festival concluded with thousands gathered for bhajans, meditation, and prayer. At the end of darshan, Amma danced a few steps to a folk tune, delighting all. Even at 3 a.m., devotees remained in the hall, celebrating in Amma’s presence.
After the program, Amma proceeded to Thrissur for the next stop of the Bharata Yatra.
