The family that performs the Ganga Arati came to Amritapuri and offered Arati to Amma. They had traveled to Kerala to attend the Magha Mahotsavam, also known as the Kerala Kumbha Mela.
In the twilight hours, they performed Arati to Amma, the river of Love, in the hall accompanied by the chanting of Veda mantras. While five of them were offering Arati to Amma, Amma reciprocated with a small lamp, performing Arati for them. For her, the Creator and creation are one and the same.
