12-13 February, Manjeri Brahmasthanam Festival, Kerala – Bharata Yatra 2017
For the final stop on the first leg of her Bharata Yatra, Amma made her visit to Manjeri, in the north of Kerala. Amma held a two day Brahmasthanam festival there, including daily satsangs, bhajans and darshan to one and all. Amma also distributed saris to the self help group members, extending the reach of her charitable activities in the area.
During darshan on both days, Amrita Vidyalayam children presented different cultural programs.
During her satsang, Amma said, “There are more than 2 billion people below the poverty line. Hundreds of millions of people are illiterate. We have a responsibility towards all of them. We need to provide them with food. We need to offer them the light of knowledge. This is our duty. In essence, we are all one – all children from the same Mother.”
When the last person received darshan, Amma and the tour group headed back to Amritapuri, concluding the three week tour.
