“Today, Amma is celebrating her 60th Birthday. To all who are present here in this temple, in this wonderful day, my best wishes.

After sitting here for some time, I was confused as to whether or not I was in Heaven or Earth! Now, we all have nothing to worry or fear – just ensure that Amma lives forever! We will have no problem then.

Modern technology being transformed and used to help the common man – such a divine ‘healing’ – that is what has been happening here. Amma’s activities are unique, in that the common man, every individual, benefits greatly.

Amma has surrendered, set aside her life, to do so. New discoveries are being made, in diverse sectors, and all of these are being shared, and made accessible to everyone – that is Amma.

” We have ordinary people – who are the bulk of this state. We must fill this place with ordinary people who have received the full benefits of a proper life. I thank and applaud Amma for ensuring that such things happen, through her activities and innovations. It has been 60 years since I became a Bishop. Now, is it because Amma was born, I became a Bishop? Or because I became a Bishop that Amma was born? I guess I will never know!” he joked.

“Some people are born and then they die. (Only those two things, they have done nothing else.) You look at their tombstone and see ‘Born on –‘and ‘Died on –‘. But there are people, like Amma, who are born, who truly live, and then pass on. Amma is living now, I do not know if She will live or die. But, people like me, are looking forward to death –because of this cruel world. Why? Today, the world has sunk deeper into despair. There is no world, there is no humanity, and there are no values. But, because of Amma, humans are human; values are still values; world is still our world. From today, Kerala must awaken, become different from yesterday. I wish and pray that we all get a Kerala that is truly blessed, after today. On that note, I conclude.”

The crowd received his thoughts with laughter and thunderous applause.
