29 October, Aix-en-Provence, South of France – Europe Yatra 2025
After Helsinki, Finland, Amma arrived at the sports arena in Aix-en-Provence. Devotees welcomed her with a song, waving heart-shaped papers in many colors—an ocean of love.
Lisa Azuelos, a French filmmaker, welcomed Amma to the city: “Amma teaches me to express Love in my life. She teaches me to swallow my anger. And I am trying to do in my movies is transmit love. When the audience goes out the movie theater after seeing my movie, I hope they have more love in their heart.”
The renowned writer Pierre Lunel released a two-volume book on Amma on the occasion. In his address he shared: “When I dug into the wonders of Amma’s teachings, I found a diamond. That precious gem of her words is, ‘If you want to change the world, start by changing yourself.’ He continued, “Your body and mind are essential to live, but if you do not care for your soul, you have missed the true goal of human life.”
Across all three days, Amma gave satsang, led meditation and bhajans, and conducted Atma Puja on the last day. To the delight of the devotees, Amma also sang a French bhajan.

For the Atma Puja, when Amma arrived, the stadium shimmered with mobile phone lights and applause. Amma lit the ceremonial lamp for the puja. Waves of tiny lights moved across the arena—like millions of stars in a dark sky—signaling joy and hope.
Southern France is home to one of the largest programs on her Europe Yatra. More than 20,000 people gathered across three days at the Aix-en-Provence stadium. People began queuing from 4:30 in the morning though the gates opened only at 9:00. Families with babies and children waited patiently in the cold. The devotion and surrender here are unique: many arrive early —newborns, children, the sick, and the elderly. Even those without tokens wait in faith—believing Amma will call them—and often, their wish is fulfilled.
Over 1,620 people received Mantra from Amma during the program with a promise that they will commit themself some time daily for spiritual practice.
Nine hundred volunteers helped organize the event. All three days were jubilant—filled with joy and the warmth of love in the cold weather—leaving a lasting, transformative impression on countless hearts.
The next stop is Chartres, Paris, France.
