MAM has started the construction of houses in the Raichur District of North Karnataka for the victims of the major flooding that took place there in early October 2009.
MAM is planning to build 2000 houses of which only 700 will be on the main land and the remainder on islands.

Mata Amritanandamayi Math, under its rehabilitation project, will construct about 2,000 houses for the flood affected in North Karnataka.
MAM has started construction in four villages of Raichur District where devastation took place due to unprecedented rain from September 29 to October 4, 2009.
