I just read about Amma's views on women priests and am gratefull that She has taken up this cause. As She has rightly said banning women from performing puja at temples was to perpetuate the vested interests of men. I salute Amma with all reverence for such a bold step.

I am awed by the swift, compassionate, comprehensive and very practical service and charity done by Amma and her devotees at the ashram after the tsunami. As someone who has worked in the US in charities and specifically in food distribution to hungry people, I know how much organization and love it takes to move so fast and treat people with such generosity.
