Mamma-Amma Makes Shiver in Helsinki

Journalist interviews Anna-Kaisa from the public.

Anna-Kaisa: Mother Amma has come from India and is giving darshan, which means that she hugs everyone who comes to her.

Journalist: What is the power of this hug?

Anna-Kaisa: That you will have to go and try yourself. Amma gives love and that love is something vaster that is beyond all understanding.

Journalist queuing for darshan by saying: Well now we are queuing up.

After the darshan

Journalist: I have also found here one American called Cole, who is ready to speak with me. - You have been doing this meeting Amma for five years being with her. What is your reason and what rituals you have?

Cole: Basically you got to go to meet her, you stand on the line for a while, you make the way to her, you get a hug from her, different people get different feelings, some people feel very good, some people are neutral. For me I for one time met her here in Helsinki for three years ago. I just felt maybe positive energy coming to my life. I feel it as a good thing.

Journalist interviews brahmacharini:
- She hugged me you know, I'm a Finn, we are not very hugging people, so me and my brothers and sisters in this country can experience that sort of one hug quite strongly because we are not hugging even our own grandmother.

Brahmacharini: Really? You don't hug your grandmother?

Journalist: Not as much as we should. What would you say if someone would declare that Mother Amma is a false guru?

Brahmacharini: On what bases you could say something like that?

Journalist: I wouldn't. But if someone claim how can you proof that she isn't a false guru?

Brahmacharini: I don't think that Amma has to prove anything to you.

Amma is not here to prove anything. Those who love her and those who can have the capacity to understand what she has to offer will come to her anyway.

I don't think that she is affected of what people will think about her. I know, that I am not affected what people are thinking about because I know what I know. It is no difference for me. I am a scientist so I have checked pretty well what I am over here for.

Journalist: What are you here for? Have you been following Amma around the world?

Brahmacharini: For the past seven years now.

Journalist: Seven years? That is quite a long time!
Brahmacharini: Not so long, when you consider that I've been living at the ashram longer time than that.

Journalist: Are you on celibacy?

Brahmacharini: Yes

Journalist: That is the path of unconditional love?

Brahmacharini: No, that is something I preferred. Amma accepts everybody whatever path they follow. You can choose what ever and that I chose for myself.

Journalist: A candy and a petal of rose were left in my hand. I don't know, maybe I would prefer falling on to my grandmothers lap it I felt like that. But this sure was a mystic experience!
