Toddling in Her Footsteps
|
In the Srimad Bhagavad Gita there is a verse:
"yadyadacarati sresthastattadevetaro janah, sa yatpramanam
kurute loka stadnuvartate."
This means; "Whatever a great person does, that very
thing others also do; whatever standard the great one sets
up, the generality of humankind follow."

We see Amma's children trying to lead their lives according to
the values lived by Her. They are doing selfless service to humankind,
engaging in regular and sincere spiritual practices, and incorporating
spiritual values and ideals in their day to day lives. For long
we have seen these values being lived by Amma, but now slowly and
steadily we are seeing that more and more of Her children are also
doing the same, with their humble capacities.
We have the Amrita kutumbams, Amma's spiritually inclined
householder children; there is the Amrita Yuva Dharma Dhara
(AYUDH),the youth wing of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math; we
see the Matruvani Campaigners, Amma's children, young and old
alike, who selflessly espouse the cause of spreading Amma's
message; we find the older students who are studying in various
institutions run by the Math, and the younger students, the
Balakendram - little children imbibing and practising Amma's
teachings.
Come let us take a peek into the silent and unnoticed transformation
taking place in the lives of many of Amma's children. |
