"I Feel So Small!"

Wednesday, 17 March 2004

Shri. Brijesh Misra, India's National Security Advisor, came to Amma's ashram in New Delhi to have Her darshan.

Now that you've just met Amma how do you feel?

"I feel so small!"

" Who am I to talk about Amma. She is such a great person. Who am I to give Her any certificate? I am very grateful to Her.

"She is a great person. She has done tremendous work for the poor and downtrodden, which most Mahatmas do not do. Most are going for big people. Amma is going for small people, the common people. This is a great thing. She is effecting jobs, effecting education —this is God's work.

"I feel elevated—only expression I can think of. She's been so kind to me to receive me.

"What is a country? A country is people. Everyone is doing things for their country. But Amma is doing for people, for the common man. They are the country."
